As your stay gets closer, here are some answers to frequently asked questions about Whiskey Cove:

Doors & Wifi: In the days leading up to check-in, guests will receive the wifi password and a code that will work on the keypads on the front and lower deck doors. The code will be valid from your check-in date/time until your check-out date/time.

Parking: There is ample guest parking at Whiskey Cove, including parallel parking in the gravel along the hillside or pulling up anywhere on the concrete. You can also park in the driveway that leads to the lower level of the home.

TVs: All televisions at Whiskey Cove are smart TVs and/or are equipped with streaming sticks and guest logins for YouTube TV, Disney+ and Netflix. You are also welcome to login to your personal streaming accounts.

Baby Items: If you're bringing little ones with you, we've equipped Whiskey Cove with a Pack-n-Play travel crib, a booster seat with tray, an inflatable toddler bed, and baby monitor for guest use.

Dock & Boat Launch: If you're bringing a boat with you, you’ll find multiple public boat launches nearby.

• Neal Bridge Launch (Ridgeville Road) is the closest to the house. You can basically see it from the cove! It is less than 5 minutes away by car, and 2 minutes by boat.
• Turkey Creek Boat Ramp (Tullahoma) is about 15 minutes away and puts you on the same finger of the lake as Whiskey Cove. It would be less than 5 minutes by boat to Whiskey Cove from this ramp.
• Lost Creek Boat Ramp (Lynchburg) is also very close and is a very pretty part of the lake. Getting from Lost Creek to Whiskey Cove is a long boat ride, so just know that in advance and plan accordingly.

We welcome you to tie up your watercraft on the outer most part of the dock. The dock is equipped with some bumpers along the edge, but they may not provide enough protection for your boat, so you may want to supplement the bumpers with your own. You'll find two kayaks with paddles and a Lily Pad on the dock for your use.

Grill and Fire Pit: A propane grill is provided for your enjoyment. There will also be firewood for your use in the fire pit.

Laundry: For your convenience, there is a washer/dryer set on both levels of Whiskey Cove. We have equipped the laundry area with a few laundry pods and dryer sheets for your use.

TVs: All televisions at Whiskey Cove are smart TVs and/or are equipped with streaming sticks and YouTube TV access. You are also welcome to login to your personal Netflix, Disney+ and other streaming accounts.

Refrigerator Space: We know lake trips tend to involve lots of cold drinks, so we've equipped Whiskey Cove with ample refrigerator space. Upstairs, there's a large refrigerator in the kitchen, plus a beverage refrigerator in the laundry room. Downstairs, there's another refrigerator in the kitchen. The upper and lower refrigerators both have ice makers as well. We recommend loading up the beverage refrigerator with your drinks and leaving the other refrigerators for your food items.

Coffee: The upstairs and downstairs of Whiskey Cove both have coffee makers that take K-Cup pods. We provide several K-Cup pods for guests, as well as sugar, artificial sweeteners, and powdered coffee creamer.

Nearby Food & Supplies: If you find yourself in need of any basics, there are several Dollar General locations within 10-15 minutes, including one in downtown Lynchburg. Dollar General stores are like small Walmarts, with the most commonly used household items, paper products, crafts/toys, snacks, clothes, and basic food items, including limited produce. You could easily find sunscreen, bug spray, hats, lake floats and non-alcoholic drinks at a Dollar General.

There are some corner gas stations in Lynchburg and Winchester that have bait, snacks, beer and grab-n-go food options, like Broadview Grocery & Deli and Lynchburg Jiffy Mart. For a true grocery store, we recommend Publix in Tullahoma (20 minute drive) or Food Lion also in Tullahoma (17 minute drive). Tullahoma is also where you’ll find a Walmart, Chick Fil A, Starbucks and other stores/restaurants common in a larger city. We have a full list of food recommendations on our Where to Eat page.
